Raymond W Bergen

Raymond W. Bergen, 83, of Schenectady passed away at Ellis Hospital on Friday November 3, 2017. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late David and Elizabeth (Van Natten) Bergen. Ray was a graduate of the Nott Terrace High School in Schenectady. He served his country in the US Army from 1954-1956. Ray was employed when moving to Georgia in Sales in pawn shops. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy(Piche) Bergen. Ray is survived by his three sons Raymond Bergen (Judith) of Schenectady, David Bergen of Schenectady and Keith Wager of Greenwich, NY. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Ray's life will be Thursday November 9, 2017 at 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 10-11AM. Inurnment with military honors will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Ray's memory to the American Cancer Society 1 Penny Lane Latham, NY 12110.
