Kathryn A. Knauf,76, passed away on Tuesday morning January 5th at the Schenectady Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born and educated in Schenectady, Kathryn was the daughter of the late William and Mildred (Schnieder) Bernadt and a graduate of Linton High School.
A bookkeeper with the family owned Grober Beauty Supply in Latham, Kathryn was a devote wife, mom, grandmother and sister and a former member of the Stanford United Methodist Church.
Predeceased by her husband Jay Knauf Sr. in 1996, Kathryn is survived by her son Jay G. Knauf Jr. and his wife Cathleen of Schenectady, grandchildren Alison Knauf, Nicolette Knauf and McKale Knauf all of Schenectady, her brother William Bernadt Jr. of Rochester and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday evening January 15, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady (COVID 19 protocols of capacities, social distancing and masks will be place) Services will be held on Saturday morning January 16, 2021at 10 am at Memory’s Garden, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Colonie, NY
