John E Deschenes

John E. Deschenes 79 of Rotterdam died peacefully at home Monday evening June 23, 2008. Born in Albany, John was the son of the late Albert and Gladys (Hickey) Deschenes. A graduate of Draper High School, John worked as a life long carpenter for himself and other company's since the age of 18. An avid sportsman, he devoted his spare time to fishing, hunting and his family. John is survived by his wife Barbara Wintle Deschense who he married April 8, 1949 and his four daughters, Linda Deschenes of Ballston Spa, Denice Suriano of Rotterdam, Jayne Bietka (Richard of Ballston Spa and Christina Latella (Scott of Rotterdam, a sister, Marjorie Oles of Glenville, her grandchildren, Melissa Heinrichs (Jason), James Suriano Jr., Christopher Cipriano, Samantha Latella and Theresa Bietka, his great grandchildren, Alyssa Heinrichs , Jason Heinrichs and Jack Cipriano and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held private at the convenience of the family.
