Florence E. Walczyk, 92, of Edgewood Avenue, Rotterdam died Monday at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in Schenectady, Florence was the daughter of the late Julian and Marcella (Milonska) Chotkowski. She was employed at one time for a Baseball Factory making Baseballs for Major League Baseball. Florence was also employed for many years as a Photo Developer for Universal Photo in Schenectady. She was a member of the Church of St. Adalbert in Schenectady and its Rosary Society. Florence is predeceased by her husband Stanley (Steve) J. Walczyk whom she married August 3, 1940, one son Michael Walczyk and three brothers Edward Chotkowski, Henry Chotkowski, and Zygmunt Chotkowski also three sisters Genevieve Chotkowski, Irene Chotkowski and Sally Morawski. She is survived by her son Stanley Walczyk of Highland Heights, Ohio, also survived by 5 Grandchildren- Stanley J. Walczyk, Frances A. Talmadge, Elizabeth S. Erwin, David Walczyk, Tracey Pause, 6 Great Grandchildren- Kelly Erwin, Paul Talmadge, James Talmadge, Katrina Walczyk, Joseph Walczyk, Alexander Pause as well as several nieces and nephews .Funeral Services will be Friday morning at 8:30AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue followed by a Mass at 9AM at the Church of St. Adalbert 550 Lansing Street Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be Friday morning from 7:30AM to 8:30AM at the funeral home. Internment will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Rotterdam.
