Elinore J. Vine 76, passed away early Monday morning at Saratoga Hospital. Born in Gloversville, Elinore was the daughter of the late Burton Starin and Rose Case Van Heusen, and the step-daughter of the late James Van Heusen. A graduate of Gloversville High School, she had also attended classes at Schenectady County Community College. She retired from her career at Trustco Bank where she had worked as an officer for many years. She had a great love for traveling, which was supplemented by her membership with the Red Hat Society. Elinore made a hobby of researching her family's history through genealogy research. She also enjoyed sports such as NASCAR racing, Boston Red Sox Baseball, stock car racing at Fonda Speedway where she was a former official stock car scorekeeper, and loved going to all of her grandson's sporting events. Elinore is predeceased by her son Raymond J. Vine, and her former husband and long time friend Raymond W. Vine. She is survived by her children; John Vine (Dawn) of Guilderland, and her daughter Susan Vine (Kevin Ratta) of Glenville, her siblings; Burton Starin (Jackie) of Johnstown, Deborah Smith (Daryl) of Indian Lake, John Van Heusen (Sharon) of Amsterdam, Richard Starin (Lisa) of Fonda, Linda Starin of Fonda, and Margaret Valachovic (Nick) of Johnstown. She is also survived by her three beloved grandsons; Brandon, Dalton and Nathan and several nieces ,nephews ,great-nieces and great nephews. Memorial services will be held Thursday afternoon, November 3, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m. prior to the memorial service. Interment at Schenectady Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Melodies Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Albany Medical Center can be made: A Building 5th floor, 43 New Scotland Ave. Albany NY 12208.
