Donald J. Scott

Donald J. Scott, 82 of Malta NY passed away April 22,2025 at Fulton Rehabilitation Center in Gloversville, NY.

He was born in Elnora NY on August 21,1942, the son of Louis and Ethel (Birch) Scott.

Scott was predeceased by his parents, his brother Richard, and his former wife Penelope.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Alice M. (DiPace) Scott, his daughters Denise Brown and Christine VanEpps, his son James Vincent, his sister Delores Doriguzzi and his grandchildren Cheyenne, Ariana, Daniel Jr., Saphyre, Ella, Trey, and Alexis as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Scott was formerly employed by General Electric for 26 years before retirement. He remained in touch with the friends he made at GE well after retirement.

He loved to attend dirt track speedways with his wife and fellow track friends.  He was also an avid bowler and was a member of many bowling leagues at Boulevard Bowl and Towne Bowling Academy.

He enjoyed the many early years he spent with his grandchildren.

Alice and Scott loved music and dancing, you could always catch them on the dance floor.

A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at Bond Funeral Home on Thursday, May 1st.  Visitation hours will be held 4-6p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
