Yvonne E. Semerad 84, formerly of Hamburg Street in Rotterdam died Monday December 25, 2006 at St. Clares Hospital. Born in Schenectady, Yvonne was the daughter of the late Karl and Ellen Anderson and a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Yvonne worked as a switchboard operator at Schenectady Chrysler Plymouth for several years and had also previously worked for Union College and Weber Construction Company. A member of St. Boniface Episcopal Church and a former Treasurer of the church's women's group, Yvonne was a member of the Acacia Court and a former Grand Royal matron, a member of the Amaranth and a former Royal Matron, a member of the Eastern Star, The Mothers club of the Triangle girls, the Happy Valley Clown Alley and a former volunteer at Mother Goose Pre-School and the Guilderland Food Pantry. Yvonne was predeceased in 1999 by her husband of 57 years Kenneth Semerad and was also predeceased by her brother Vernon Anderson. Survivors include her children, Susan E. Diamante (Late Mario) of Whitman, MA., Deborah A. Isles of Galway, Peter N. Semerad (Laura) of Rotterdam and Stephen W. Semerad (Rosie) of Rotterdam, a sister Hope Davis of Fayetteville, GA, 9 grandchildren, Justin Jones, Michael Isles, Christopher Semerad, David Diamante, Jared Semerad, Sarah Isles, Phillip Semerad, Ryan Semerad and Jamie Semerad, 2 great Grandchildren, Zane and Jaden. Funeral services will be on Friday morning December 29, 2006 at 9 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady followed at 10 am at St Boniface Episcopal Church, Rt. 20, Guilderland, NY. Calling hour will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Fisher Cemetery in Rotterdam, NY. Contributions may be made in her memory to the City Mission, 425 Hamilton St., Schenectady, NY 12305 or to St Boniface Episcopal Church, Rt. 20, Guilderland, NY
