William Zarzycki, 81, of Rotterdam passed away Saturday July 27, 2013 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Maryan and Walerja ( Janizewska) Zarzycki. William served in the US Navy. He was employed for 40 years as a Carpenter-Locksmith for Union College in Schenectady. William was a member of the Tin Can Sailors. He was predeceased by his siblings Chester Zarzycki, John Zarzycki, Irene Stantz, Casmir Zarzycki, Stephen Zarzycki, Zigmund Zarzycki and Elizabeth Zarzycki. William is survived by his wife Eileen ( Niland) Zarzycki whom he married November 20, 1954, his children-Michael Zarzycki ( Pam) of Rhode Island, Donald Zarzycki ( Susan) of Gansevoort, Carolyn Drooby ( Mark) of Guilderland and William Zarzycki ( Sharon) of Schenectady, also survived by his daughter in law Janice Gray-Mills, his beloved grandchildren- Craig Zarzycki ( Braelin), Benjamin Zarzycki, Emily Drooby, Elizabeth Drooby, Grace Zarzycki, Olivia Fortune ( Ryan), and Mollie Zarzycki, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Tuesday August 6, 2013 at 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Calling Hours will be Monday August 5, 2013 from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Internment with full military honors will be at the Gerald B. H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
