William E. Wilkie Jr.

William E. Wilkie died peacefully on Thursday, January 25,2024 at the Sentinel in Amsterdam, NY.

William was born on August 1, 1940 to William E. Wilkie Sr. and Janet Wilkie. He attended Schalmont/Draper school. William worked for Agway for many years as a fuel delivery driver and a furnace repair man. William drove tractor trailers independently and for Price Chopper. His CB handle was “Barn Boots.” He was a member of the Delanson Fire Company and the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corporation.

Survivors include his son Robert (Deb) Wilkie, Daughter in law Bernie Wilkie. His grandchildren Kenneth Wilkie, Amanda Wilkie, and Ashley Wilkie. One great grandson James Wilkie.

In addition to his parents William was predeceased by his wife Judith Wilkie and a son William T. Wilkie, his two sisters Pat and Janie and one brother, James.

Services for William will be held February 3, 2024 at 2pm at Valley Bible Church 745 Mineral Springs Road Cobleskill.
