William Rossman

September 20, 1933 — February 15, 2021

William Donald Rossman (Bill / Donnie), 87, passed into eternal rest at home surrounded in love by family on February 15th, 2021. Born on September 20, 1933 in Kingston, PA he was the son of the late Walter and Ruth (Belles) Rossman. He is also predeceased by his brothers Charles (Charlie), Richard (Rich) and Wayne Rossman, sister Carol Stine and son-in-law Joseph Ciani. Graduate of West Pittston, PA High School in 1951. He was a member of the United States Army from 1953-1955. He began his 37-year career at General Electric in Schenectady NY where he retired as a Master Draftsman in 1988 Bill was a man that didn't know what it meant to sit still. You would often find him riding his bike through town or walking one of his many beloved German Shepherds. In his earlier years he enjoyed playing Softball and Basketball regularly either with a league or in the yard with his grandchildren. He attended many local sporting events to cheer for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He spent many fall Saturday's enjoying Penn State football games and getting out to as many games in person. he could. Bill most recently was a communicant of Cobblestone Church in Rotterdam and previously an Elder and Deacon of Mont Pleasant Reformed Church in Schenectady. He enjoyed reminiscing about his home town, his childhood and his much-loved camp along the Susquehanna River, the site of many summer vacations and numerous memorable moments from the mid 80's until just recently. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine Elizabeth of 65 years. His children Gail Elizabeth Ciani, Sharon June Greenwood, David Warren Rossman (Sherry) and Jacqueline "Jackie" Elaine McNulty (Eric), grandchildren JoAnna June Greenwood (Donn), Kenneth Kevin Greenwood (Keysha), Jillian Elizabeth Dodson (Richard), Cherie Marie Muscari (Anthony), David William Rossman, Alexandra Rose Ciani, Erica Rae McNulty and Carle Jo McNulty. Great-granchildren Makenzie, Christina, Donovan, Kaden, Harper, Kyle, Kaleb and Carson. Funeral Services for William will be private at the convenience of the family. Spring interment will be in Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam.
