William Hesler

William Hesler, 85, of Guilderland died at home on Sunday October 4, 2009. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick and Mary (Dunn) Hesler. William served in the Army in World War 2. He was employed as a Supervisor for the General Electric Company retiring in 1984. William was a member of St. Madeleine Sophie Church in Guilderland. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gardening, the outdoors and was a handyman. William was Patriotic. He was a loving man. William would tell jokes and put a smile on everyone's face. He was faithful, a good teacher and always made his Grandchildren feel better. William always looked for the bright side of things in life. He was selfless. William was a loving family man and attended and loved all family affairs. He is predeceased by six brothers- John Hesler, Frederick Hesler, Charles Hesler, James Hesler, Edward Hesler and Joseph Hesler, three sisters- Elizabeth Mott, Jean Hesler and Jane Hesler. William is survived by his wife Beverly Willsey Hesler whom he married June 5, 1954, two sons William Hesler ( Nancy) of Baldwinsville, NY and Donald Hesler ( Elizabeth) of Guilderland, one brother Thomas Hesler of Guilderland, four sisters Anna Nealon of Schenectady, Dorothy Hesler of Schenectady, Agnes Durocher of Schenectady and Mary Ryan of Scotia also survived by six grandchildren- Brad Hesler, Daniel Hesler, Eric Hesler, Christina Hesler, Matthew Hesler, Emily Hesler as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Thursday 9:15AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 10AM at St. Madeleine Sophie Church 3500 Carman Road in Guilderland. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be Wednesday evening 4-7PM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady.
