William (Bill) H. Fluewelling Jr., 68, passed away on Sunday morning June 27th at the Stratton V.A. Medical Center in Albany, NY with his wife by his side.
Bill was born August 10, 1952 and was the son of the late William H. Fluewelling Sr. and is survived by his mother Cecelia (Snyder). He was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School in Troy NY and attended Hudson Valley Community College.
Bill served active duty in the Army in Vietnam and was discharged in 1974. He worked and retired from Albany County Social Service. Bill was a member of Jehovah’s Witness congregations in Troy and Schenectady New York and served as an elder for many years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Donna A. (Franchomme) Fluewelling who he married on August 29, 1999; his son William H. Fluewelling (Jessica Wang), step-children Jason Baczynski and Heidi Caruso (Joel); grandchildren Jeffory, Evan, William IV, Ava, Isabella, Alex and Eric; his mother Cecelia; his sisters Barby Fryer (Mickey), Shelley Broderick (Bill), Beth Breen (Art) and Suzy Nugent (Fred) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bill was affectionately known as Jampy to his grandchildren. Bill loved photography and had won several awards for his pictures. He also loved hiking, jazz, and had a special love of animals especially cats.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude for the staff at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center for their excellent care of Bill. Services for Bill will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
