Warren D. Barrett 84 of Rotterdam died Sunday morning January 9, 2005 at St. Clares Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Little Falls, NY on September 9, 1920 , he was the son of the late Lucius and Florence(Perks) Barrett. An Army veteran of WWII, Warren was a Technician Fourth Grade serving with Company A 766 Railway Shop Battalion in Rhineland. He was employed by Conrail as a signal inspector ,retiring after 44 years of service. Warren was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad signalmen and a former Treasurer, a member of Cranesville Reformed Church, where he served as an elder and Deacon and headed the Finance Committee for the church. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Ethel ( Folensbee) Barrett, Three children: Janice B. Dyer of Clifton Park ,Russell W. Barrett of Rotterdam and Marcia M. Simek and husband Robert of Schenectady, two grandchildren; Robert W. Simek and Robin L. Rosenberger and husband Walter. Warren was also predeceased by his twin brother Wilfred Barrett. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon January 12,2005 at 1:30pm at Bond Funeral Home ,Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Internment in Fair View Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY Contributions may be made in Warrens memory to the Cranesville Reformed Church, Cranes Hollow Road, Amsterdam, NY or to a charity of one choice
