Walter E Overstreet

Walter Edwin Overstreet, of Scotia, New York passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Baptist Health and Nursing Center. He was 88. Walter was born in Bradfordsville, Kentucky on June 28, 1927. He was the son of Carl Ray Overstreet and Linnie Raney. He graduated from the University of Louisville with an Engineering Degree. Walter worked over thirty years for General Electric. He was involved with launching Missiles and Satellites. He enjoyed bowling, golf, bridge, and just being with family and friends. Walter was predeceased by his first wife Ruth Harkins, and his mother and father. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, children Edie, Walter (Theresa), and Susan (Mike), stepchildren Rhonda (John) and David (Lisa). Grandchildren Andrea (Todd), Michael, John, Sabrina, Brandon, Matthew, Ryan and two great grandchildren, Chase and Colton. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 50 Sacandaga Road, Scotia on April 9, 2016 at 11 am. Burial will be in Old Liberty Cemetery, Bradfordsville, Kentucky at a later date.
