Virginia Vanvalkenburg

Virginia A. VanValkenburg 81 of Gainesville, GA formerly of Broadway, Schenectady, NY died suddenly at home on Thursday August 4, 2005. Born in Schenectady, Virginia was the daughter of the late Aloysius and Evelyn Lescsak and a life long Schenectady resident moving to Georgia two years ago. She worked in the Payroll Department at the General Electric Co. for over 42 years retiring in 1986. Virginia was a member of St Gabriel's Catholic Church, the ? century club of the GE, a member and past president of the ladies auxiliary of VFW Post 1895 and a member of the Rotterdam Knights of Columbus #5703 She is survived by her husband of 49 years Thomas W. VanValkenburg who she married of June 9, 1956 and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning August 9, 2005 at 8:15am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady followed at 9 am at St Gabriel's Church, Hamburg St. ,Rotterdam where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home for relatives and friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Internment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY
