Virginia A Kiel (Newell)

Virginia A. Kiel, 84, passed away on Thursday evening August 25th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in West Davenport, NY, Virginia was the daughter of the late Julian and Mary (Ingles) Newell and sister of the late Millie Kennedy, Russell Newell, Robert Newell and Howard Newell. A nurse's aide for many years, Virginia was a former volunteer with the American Red Cross and a member of the Electric City Riders. An avid country music fan that enjoyed listening to and reading about the music and the artist, Virginia was also a member of the Northeast Country Music Association, enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Virginia is survived by her children, Linda O'Brien (James) of Rotterdam, Patricia Chamberlain (Robert) of Altamont, Jean McNicol (Duncan) of Laurens, NY and Carl Pudvah (Shannon) of Lake Luzerne, NY, her sisters, Shirley Wilcox and Betty McGuiness both of Schenectady and her brother, Julian "Tex" Newell of Missouri. She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Virginia's life will be held privately at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a Veteran's Service Organization of your choice in Virginia's memory.
