Virginia Marotta

Virginia E. Marotta, 84, of Terra Drive, Arlington Texas formerly of Roselawn Avenue in Rotterdam died Wednesday March 7, 2007 at Arlington Villa Nursing Home in Arlington, Texas. Virginia was born in Schenectady and was the daughter of Frank and Mae (Vonkurowski) Gale. She was employed as the Head Cashier at Woolworth's Department Store in Schenectady, retiring in the mid 1980's.Virginia was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Schenectady. She is predeceased by her husband Andrew J. Marotta, one son Ronald Scott Marotta, and one daughter Cheryl Paine. Virginia is survived by her son Andrew Marotta ( Linda) of Chester, Virginia, one daughter Donna Rae Glieckman (Gerald) of Arlington Texas, one daughter in law Chris Marotta of Schenectady, 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and a large family of relatives and friends in Schenectady. Funeral Services will be Monday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at.11:30AM at Paul's Episcopal Church 1911 Fairview Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be Monday morning 10-11AM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie.
