Virginia J Lauritsen

Virginia J. Lauritsen, 82, of Princetown, NY and St. Petersburg, Florida died Friday May 9, 2008 surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's home in Princetown. She was the daughter of the late Byron and Hazel (Richardson) Smith. Virginia was a homemaker. She was also for several years, an Assessor Assistant for the Town of Colonie. Virginia was a Republican Committee Woman for the Town of Colonie for 20 years. She was also a volunteer Girl Scout Leader in the Town of Colonie. In Florida, Virginia was a volunteer for 21 years for Northside Hospital. She was also President of her Condominium with Town Apartments in Florida as well as Secretary of the Governing Body of Town Apartments. Virginia is predeceased by her husband John F. Lauritsen whom she married September 14, 1946. She is survived by three children Carol McClaine (Marc) of Princetown, Chris Lauritsen (Barbara) of Delanson and Curt J. Lauritsen (Julie B. Allen) of Baytown, TX, 5 Grandchildren- Ronni Edwards (Todd), Jeffrey McClaine ( Brenda), Robert McClaine ( Jody), Lisa Handy and Cory Lauritsen, also survived by 10 Great Grandchildren-Dylan, Ryan, Marcus, Devon, Bryce, Sebastian, Nora, Olivia , Logan and Adeline. Funeral Services will be Monday evening at 7:30PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be from 6-7:30PM on Monday evening at the funeral home. Internment will be Tuesday at 12:30PM in Memory's Garden in Colonie.
