Vincent O Tricozzi

Vincent O. Tricozzi 77 of Schenectady died Thursday afternoon August 17, 2006 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in Schenectady, Vince was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and the son of Helen (Elena) Sorella Tricozzi of Schenectady and the late John Tricozzi. An army veteran, he worked as a carpenter for over 35 years working for Pioneer Construction, Gaylor Construction and Impala Construction before retiring. Vince was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, the Altar Boy Society, the Holy Name Society, a former volunteer at the church and a former member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society. A former Quarterback at Mont Pleasant High School during the late 1940's, Vincent was an avid Met and Giant fan; he enjoyed Golf and bowling and loved spending time with his 16 grandchildren. Beside his mother he is survived by his wife of 53 years Margaret M. McGuire Tricozzi who he married April 25, 1953, five children, Thomas V. Tricozzi and wife Rosita DiCioccio of Guilderland, Karen M. Kulka and husband Peter of Southbury, CN, Christine T. Lecce and husband Lou of Niskayuna, Jeffrey M. Tricozzi and wife Jo Ann of Rexford and Michael J. Tricozzi and wife Maureen of Clifton Park, a brother John B. Tricozzi of Middletown, sixteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Monday morning August 21, 2006 at 8:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, followed at 9 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Princetown Rd, Rotterdam where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will be in St Cyril's Cemetery.
