Veronica Nowicki Bradt 94 formerly of Rotterdam died Thursday morning June 9th at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Julia Maciejka Nowicki. Veronica worked as nurse aid for several years and retired from Draper schools as a matron after 10 years of service. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Annie Schafer Seniors and Rotterdam Seniors where she taught physical education and helped with bingo. She also was an active bowler for over 45 years at Towne Bowling Alley. Veronica was predeceased by two brothers; Frank and Anthony Nowicki and a sister; Julia Green. Survivors include three children; Rose Mary Zongrone and husband John R. of Voorheesville, Robert Bradt and wife Norma of Mariaville and Florida and Ronald Bradt and wife Lynne of Schenectady, a sister Genevieve Krystniak of Schenectady, 14 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday morning June 13 at 9:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady followed at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Bradt Street, Schenectady where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 9 pm. Internment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made to the Rotterdam Senior Citizen's, Hamburg Street, Schenectady, NY 12303 or to Baptist Health Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 297 N. Ballston Ave., Scotia, NY 12302
