Tyler Wolcott

February 4, 1986 — October 8, 2021

Tyler Whitney Wolcott, 35, passed away suddenly on October 8, 2021 after a brief fight with Leukemia. Born in Avon, NY on February 4, 1986, Tyler moved to Albany, NY and graduated from Albany Law School in 2015. He was brought into the firm Read and Laniado, LLP the same year, where he felt like family.

Tyler and his wife Beth-Marie (Russ) met in Albany and were married for 5 years that were full of a love that was evident to anyone who ever met them.

A lifelong Buffalo Bills fan, despite them breaking his heart many, many times, he was always proud to be a member of the “Bills Mafia.” Tyler was a craft beer enthusiast, a big fan of Phish, and loved talking about his passions. He always wanted to try out new menu items or the food trucks in the Albany area, and bragged about getting a good steak. He loved camping trips with his family and friends and had mastered the campfire grilled cheese.

Tyler was a light to anyone who met him, always available for a listening ear or to share a stupid meme. He was kind, loving, and loyal, and his legacy will carry on through his children.

Tyler is survived by his wife Beth Wolcott, his children Oliver and Evelyn, his parents Dana and Roberta, his brother Thomas, his grandmother Lucille Overton, many aunts, uncles, cousins, the Russ family, and countless friends. He is predeceased by his daughter, Daphne.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society.
