Thomas R. Kamer, 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at his daughter's home in Clifton Park. Born in St. Louis, MO, Tom was the son of the late Frank and Goldie Mae (Quinn) Kamer. An Army Airforce veteran, Tom was a former member of the Rotterdam Eagles. He founded the Rondeau Hunting Camp and was the former owner of Big Tom's Ice Cream Store. Tom owned and operated Kamer Construction for over 50 years. Tom was predeceased in 1997 by his wife, Libby (Bouck) Kamer. He is also predeceased by his step-mother who raised him, Pauline Van Wyamam. Tom leaves behind his daughters, Margo McDonald (Robert) of Rotterdam and Sheri Pilczuk (Michael) of Clifton Park, as well as his grandchildren, Thomas McDonald (Wendy Led Duke), Richard Pilczuk, Hope Taylor (Calvin), Anthony Pilczuk (April ), Jasmine Pilczuk and Joseph Boyer. He also leaves behind his great grandchildren, Ella, Ava, Thomas, Spencer, Mason, Pierce, Roman, Brooklyn and Arianna. Calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon, November 8, from 2-4pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. A celebration of Tom's life will be held on Monday at 11am at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be in Schenectady Memorial Park, Rotterdam.
