Thomas A Jess Sr

Thomas A. Jess Sr. 53 of Scotia died suddenly April 29, 2007 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Niskayuna, NY, Thomas is the son of Edward and Mayzoe (Stanton) Jess and a 1971 graduate of Schalmont High School. Tom worked for New York State in the Department of Tax and Finance as a Sales Tax Technician for over 34 years. A union steward for P.E. F., Thomas was a diehard New York Yankee fan. He would bring all his nieces and nephews to there 1st Yankee game, which would start their own love for the New York Yankee's. Tom loved the outdoors and traveling with his family and loved his pets along with his loyal companion "Jeter". Thomas was predeceased by his in-laws, Joseph and Trudy Pelcher and brother-in-law Robert Parzych. Survivor's include his wife of 20 years Colleen J. (Pelcher) Jess who he married on February 7,1987, his son Thomas A. Jess Sr. of Duanesburg, parents, Edward and Mayzoe Jess of Rotterdam, four brothers, Edward Jess of Wyoming, Steven Jess(Kimberly) of Burnt Hills, Richard Jess(Danielle) of North Carolina and Robert Jess (Nancy) of Saratoga, a sister Joanne Perry(William) of Rotterdam, his brother and sister-in-laws, Joseph Pelcher(Marjorie) Averill Park, Martin Pelcher(Helen) Averill Park, Daniel Pelcher(Sharon) Schenectady, Michael Pelcher (Cathy) Illinois, Susan Pelcher Cicero, NY, Christine Wilber(David) East Greenbush, Pamela Forsythe(Timothy) Oneonta,, Nancy Pelcher of Menands , Jean Coonradt(Russell) Cohoes and Trudy Parzych of Latham and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning May 3rd, 2007 at 9:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY followed at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, Union Street, Schenectady where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening May 2nd; from 5 to 8 pm. Contributions may be made in Thomas memory to the James A. Brennan memorial Humane Society, P.O.
