Thomas William Fuller

Thomas W. Fuller, 78, passed away on Sunday afternoon December 4th at St Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY with his loving family by his side.

Born in Albany on December 30, 1943, Thomas was the son of the late William and Catherine Benson Fuller and a graduate of Colonie High School. Tom attended Syracuse University and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Russell Sage College.

A salesman for over 40 years, Tom retired from Hertz Equipment Rental in Albany after 10 years of service. However, his true career and joy was as a full-time volunteer Bible teacher.

Tom was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on September 13, 1969. He was known for his zeal for the ministry, serving as a full-time minister until his passing and for almost 20 years throughout his life time. Tom touched many lives as a skilled Bible teacher, teaching comforting Bible truths with many members of his family and those in his community. Tom also enjoyed serving 5 different congregations as an elder for 50 years.

Tom also enjoyed taking his wife, Dale, and their dog, Sidney, on road trips and weekends away in his Corvette. His first job as a youth was as a caddy at the Colonie Country Club golf course and his enjoyment of watching golf continued his whole life. As a young man, he enjoyed sports cars and car racing, even winning several awards. He always enjoyed talking about and watching shows about cars.

Beside his parents, Tom was also predeceased by his brother Stephen Fuller.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dale (DiLorenzo) Fuller, his children, Jason T. Fuller (Sabrina) and Colleen E. McBirney (Samuel), his grandson Scott McBirney and his siblings, Mark Fuller (Deborah) and Janice Bovee (Richard) and sister-in-law, Doreen Fuller and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial talk will be held on Sunday December 18th at 4 pm at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 6167 Depot Road, Altamont, NY 12009

Interment will be at Memory Gardens in Colonie, NY.
