Thomas M. Cieszynski

Thomas M. Cieszynski, 79, of Schenectady passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday February 19, 2025. Born in  Niskayuna on April 28th 1945 to the late Zygmont and Ruth (Gillespie) Cieszynski.

He was a graduate of Mohonasen High School. Thomas was a proud member of the Larborers' Local 157 for 56 years. Thomas was employed by the Town of Rotterdam Highway Department until his retirement. His life motto was simple, work hard, eat good food, and drinks, and surround yourself with good company.

Thomas was a member of St. Luke’s Church in Schenectady and the Rotterdam Elks.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Jacqulyn (Little) Cieszynski Thomas is survived by his children Chad Cieszynski and Lori Pistana, his brothers Paul Cieszynski (Mary) and Chris Cieszynski (Christine), his brother in laws Patrick Little (Sue) and Christopher Little (Maggie), his sister-in-law Kim Sumner (Lee), several nieces and nephews, his best friends Bart Hladik and Joseph Marsella. He also leaves behind his beloved Baby Boy Duke, and his fur grandbaby Bobo.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to his niece Shannon Liberatore, Lori and Anne from Community Hospice and aide Elizzabeth Saez for giving Tom such loving care.

Funeral Services for Thomas will begin on Tuesday at 8:15 Am at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 9AM at St. Luke’s Church 1241 State in Schenectady. Visitation Monday evening from 4-7PM at the funeral home.

Interment in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
