Theodore J. Bechard, Jr., 69, of Earlton passed away on Tuesday, April 21st, 2015 at Albany Medical Center. Born in Schenectady, Theodore was the son of the late Joan (Hall) and Theodore J. Bechard, Sr. A US Navy Veteran, Theodore worked as a New York State corrections officer at Summit Correctional Facility for over 12 years before his retirement in 2001. Theodore loved antique cars and motorcycles. He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed building model airplanes. Theodore is survived by his wife, Dale Bechard, his son, Theodore J. Bechard, III (Georgiana Corbett) of Earlton, NY, daughters, Michelle Bechard of Perth and Chantelle Rennee Smith of Glenville, his brother, Gregory Stinzianni (Cynthia) of St. Augustine, FL, his aunt, Doris Emerich of Palm Bay, FL as well as 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a niece, a nephew and several cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 28th at 12pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady with a visitation prior to the service from 11am-12pm. Interment with military honors will be at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Theodore's name can be made to your local Disabled American Veterans chapter.
