Thelma Zeininger

July 19, 1950 — June 20, 2020

Thelma A. Zeininger, 69, of Schenectady passed away peacefully on Saturday June 20, 2020 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Lancaster) Majewski.

She was a home maker. Prior to that, she worked in house keeping at the Comfort Inn in Colonie.

Thelma was a member of the Schenectady Moose and Eagles Lodges.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. To her grandchildren, she fondly was known as Nann and her great grandchildren as GiGi. Thelma was an amazing woman, who was always thoughtful, caring, sharing, family oriented and occasionally silly. She will be greatly missed and is now flying with the angels!

Thelma loved cats specifically her cat Baby. She also enjoyed sitting by a great bonfire.

She is predeceased by her longtime companion and best friend Robert Velett and her brother Joseph Majewski and her sister Rose Lancaster.

Thelma is survived her four loving children Christine Canton (Hollis) of Schenectady, Marion Winner of Schenectady, Tammy Gabree of Schenectady and Chauncey Van Patten of Schenectady. She is also survived by 20 loving grandchildren, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A Visitation to celebrate Thelma’s life will be Tuesday June 30, 2020 from 11-1PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are required.
