Sylvia Stock

Sylvia L. Stock, 88, passed away on Friday January 22, 2021 at home with her Daughter and all her Boys by her side.

Born and educated in Amsterdam, NY, Sylvia was the daughter of the late William and Josephine (Roman) Zimolka and a graduate of Wilbur Lynch High School in Amsterdam.

A former payroll supervisor at General Electric Company, Sylvia retired after a 35
year career. She was also a former employee at New York Telephone and the Wise Shops at one time.

She was a member of the G.E Quarter Club and a member of St Gabriel‘s
Church in Rotterdam. Sylvia served as a Lector, Eucharist Minister and on the Parish Counsel at St. Gabriel’s Church.

Predeceased in 1991 by her beloved husband Robert B. Stock, her brother and sister-in-law William and June Zimolka.

She is survived by her daughter Stephanie Ranze and her husband Brian (Favorite) of Ballston Lake, “Dee” to her grandchildren Cole and Caden Ranze of Ballston Lake, her nephew Michael Zimolka and his wife Viki of Bayshore, Long Island, two great nephews Bryan (Sarah) and Jordan Zimolka and many cousins, close cousin Patricia (William) Yamrozy and her children Susan Yamrozy and Michelle (Joseph) Whipple.

A visitation will be held on Thursday January 28th from 5 to 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY (COVID 19 guidelines for capacities, social distancing and masks will be in place) .
