Susan A. Marshall

Susan A. Marshall, 68, of Schenectady passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday May 24, 2026. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Violet (LaRocuque) Dearstyne.

She was employed as a hostess at Applebee’s here in Schenectady.

Susan enjoyed flowers and gardening, traveling and cooking. She loved having gatherings at home and spending time with her grandkids, Susan also enjoyed having a tall White Russian when wanting to relax.

Susan is survived by her husband Keith Marshall, her children Tonya Taylor (Richard Jr.) and Joshua Evans (fiancé Faith Winne), her step child Matthew Marshall (Cassie), her sisters Cynthia Dearstyne, Sandra D’Amore, Sharon Dearstyne and Jill Hessig, her grandchildren Alexander Taylor and Tessa Jean Taylor as well as her two great grandchildren Levi Armstrong and Remmington Armstrong as well as a niece and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Delsavio who the family wishes to thank for all her support during Susan’s illness.

At Susan’s request no services will be held.
