She lived in Bath and Five Islands, Maine, working as a realtor, before moving to Iowa City in 1983, living with her sister Sally and nieces. She received her master's degree in substance abuse/addiction counseling from the University of Iowa. She was employed in Cedar Rapids at Sedlacek Treatment Center, Mercy Hospital Hospice, the Catherine McAuley Center, and ASAC. Sue is survived by husband, Patrick; her twin sister, Sally H. Throughout her life and during her professional career, Sue was a dedicated counselor and helped many achieve success in fighting addictions. She was a lover of animals which was evident in her expressions of love for these creatures.
