Susan B Jasinski

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Susan (Sue) B. Jasinski passed away on Saturday December 1st, with her loving family by her side. Born on December 9, 1943 in Quincy Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Shirley and John Burns of Quincy. She moved to the Schenectady area 40 years ago and in 1969 married the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Jasinski. They resided on Curry road Ext. in Rotterdam for the past 35 years and celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary of November 15th. Sue devoted herself to her family and to raising her three children, Karleen, Jennifer and Chuck. When her children attended Mohonasen School, Sue was homeroom mother for several consecutive years. She was active in the PTO and was an active parent in the Mohonasen Marching Band. She assisted her husband in the operation and maintenance of their family business, Nesco Services. Sue was an avid Yankee fan and took great pride in her collection of Mickey Mouse paraphernalia. She loved to be surrounded by her family and friends and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Sue also had a passion for traveling. Weather it be a trip to Florida, Disney World or Las Vegas, sharing this time with her close friends and family was something she enjoyed. Sue is survived by her husband Charles Jasinski of Rotterdam; her daughter and son-in-law, Mark and Karleen Kelts of Rotterdam; her daughter and son-in-law Jonathan and Jennifer Himmelwright of Clermont, Fl; her son, Charles Jasinski and Fianc? Lindsay Frankenberg and daughter Bella of Rotterdam; her sister Marion Ellis of Quincy, Mass.; her grandchildren, Marc and Ariel Himmelwright of Clermont, Fl. and Mark Kelts of Rotterdam. She is also survived by many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. It was Sue's request that there be no calling hours and that funeral services be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308.
