Sunyi Hoehn, 65, of Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully at home Monday morning April 6th after a long illness. Born in Pyongnam-Do, Korea she was the daughter of Sam Chun Han of Korea and the late In Hui Yi. Sunyi was the former owner of Sunyi's Taylor shop in Bellevue for over 20 years, later working as a caregiver for Schenectady CDPC for over 20 years as well. She also had a passion for cooking and gardening. Sunyi was predeceased by her husband William Hoehn who passed away in 2008. She is survived by her daughter Kaylee Smith of Schenectady and one grandson Marcus Smith of Schenectady. Calling hours which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held on Thursday evening April 9th from 6-8pm at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A graveside service will be held on Friday morning 11am at Park Cemetery in Scotia, NY. The family wishes to thank their friends and Ellis Hospital staff for their compassion and kindness, as well as Dr. Yousuf who was a close and dear friend. The family also wishes to thank Maria Williams R.N for all her help and love.
