Stephen R. Warner, 76, of Schenectady, NY, passed away on December 16. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Robert and Eileen Warner, one of seven children.
He is survived by three daughters; Emily T. (husband, Jim) and her children James and Devi (and their father Rabi); Alex W.; Kay M. (husband,Travis) and her children Danielle (husband, Steven) and Travis F. He is also survived by his great granddaughter, Savanna, and good friend and former wife, Holly Warner.
Stephen served in the US army during the Vietnam war. After his tour, he returned to Massachusetts for several years before settling in Schenectady in 1979. He attended Siena College and began a career with the state, retiring in 2011 as an Information Tech Specialist.
Stephen was an avid golfer and had a real passion for the game. He also enjoyed spending time with his many friends, and would go out of his way to help anyone he could. He had a big life and will be missed.
The family will hold a private service in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to Operation Heal Our Patriots would be appreciated.
