Stephen Roche, 68, of Schenectady, NY, took his final breath at Ellis Hospital. Born with a wild spirit and a love for anything with a good beat, Stephen lived a rock-and-roll lifestyle from day one. If there was a concert within driving distance, he would be there, and if there was a good time to be had—well, Stephen had it. He never met a guitar solo he didn’t like, or a hiking trail he wouldn’t explore. He jogged, hiked, worked out, and enjoyed life’s more relaxed hobbies. Including his well-known fondness for smoking weed. Stephen leaves behind his three children, who inherited pieces of both his adventurous spirit and his unapologetic personality: Steven Roche of Schenectady, Amber Roche of Bedford Hills, and Joshua Roche of Charlton. They will miss him more than any playlist, mountain trail, or late-night pizza fix could ever fill. He will truly be missed by all who knew him, loved him, and partied with him! Rock on!!! The world’s a little quieter without you.
A Celebration of Life will be Monday December 1, 2025, at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady from 4-6PM.
