Stephen J Marra

Stephen Marra 81 of Rotterdam died Friday morning December 26, 2008 at his home after a long illness, Born and educated in Schenectady, Steve was the son of the late Joseph and Jenny (Madison) Marra. A veteran, he worked at the General Electric Company for over 43 years, retiring as a winder in 1988. He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, the Elmer Ciccione bowling League and an avid N.Y. Yankee fan. Beside his parents Stephen was also predeceased by his sister Dorothy Sweet and brother Louis Marra. He was the beloved husband for 59 years of Bettina (Bertha) Battaglia Marra, the cherished father of Stephen Marra(Ellen) of Gloversville, David Marra (Irene) of Schenectady and Janet Galietta of Schenectady, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Entombment in Most Holy Redeemer Mausoleum.
