Stephen Machovic

Stephen J. Machovic 94 of Rotterdam died Thursday October 14, 2004 at home after a short illness. Born in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Sefchick) Machovic. Stephen worked for the General Electric Company for over 24 years retiring in 1975 as a crane follower. He was also a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Stephen was predeceased on October 6,2002 by his wife of 62 years Bernice (Markiewicz) Machovic. He is survived by his dear friend and caretaker Diana Levesgue and husband Robert of Rotterdam and a cousin and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday morning 8:30 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady followed at 9 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Princetown Rd where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held Sunday afternoon at the funeral home from 2 to 4 pm. Internment in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Johnstown. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to Juvenile Diabetes Association, 6 Greenwood Drive, East Greenbush, NY 12061
