Stephen A Barkley

Stephen A. Barkley, 61, of Niskayuna passed away Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Albany County Nursing Home in Colonie. Born in Harris County, Texas he was the son Stanley and Nessie Barkley. Stephen served his country in the US Marines from 1974-1976. He was employed prior to being ill for the Daily Gazette as a Driver. Stephen was also a member of the Classic Theater Guild. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Community Hospice and the Albany County Nursing Home for their care of Stephen. Stephen is survived by his wife Helen Fisher Barkley of Niskayuna, three brothers Richard Barkley of Colorado Springs, Greg Barkley of Schenectady and William Tallant of Tuscaloosa, Alabama as well as several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life for Stephen will be Tuesday February 6, 2018 at 12 noon at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be 11AM to 12 noon prior. Interment with military honors will be at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, NY.
