Shirley O'Brien

Shirley H. O'Brien 55 of Rotterdam died suddenly Thursday morning May 18, 2006 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Gertrude (Doner) Kovacs and a 1969 graduate of Draper High School. A homemaker, Shirley was retired from At & T. She enjoyed traveling, crafting and gardening and loved cooking. Shirley is survived by her husband of 35 years Mark J. O'Brien, two sons, Chad m. O'Brien of Schenectady and Jason J. O'Brien of Rotterdam and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning May 20, 2006 at 8:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady followed at 9 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Princetown Road, Rotterdam where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening May 19, 2006 from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Parkview Cemetery in Schenectady.
