Shirley M Groves (O'Brey)

Shirley M. Groves passed away peacefully on Friday June 19th at her home surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born September 13, 1937 and lived her entire life in Scotia. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen O'Brey. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Harold Groves, Jr. in 2014. Shirley was a homemaker and devoted mother to her five children; Charles and Sheir, Ralph and Sharon, Kevin and Sue, Dennis and Bianca and Kathy; 23 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; brothers-in-law, Walter Groves, John and Diane Parker and sister-in-law, Betty and George Luse as well as several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd at 12 noon at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady with a visitation prior from 11am to 12 noon prior to the funeral service.
