Shirley H Clark (Hawes)

Shirley H. Clark 87, passed away Wednesday morning April 26th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Braman's Corners, Shirley lived in the Town of Duanesburg for over 65 years. There were some intervening years when she and her husband and two sons lived in Rotterdam on Fisher Drive. Her earliest schooling was at the Braman's Corners one-room Schoolhouse. Shirley graduated from Delanson High School, class of 1946 and then attended Albany Business College. Her employment followed at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Niskayuna. Shirley was a member of the Friends of the Schenectady County Public Library, Capital District Genealogical Society, Schenectady County Historical Society and the Lynnwood Reformed Church. Predeceased by her parents Willis and Grace (Dorn) Hawes and brother Raymond Hawes, Shirley is survived by her husband of 61 years, William B. Clark, her 2 sons; Kerry W. Clark (Bonnie) of Baltimore, MD and Bruce L. Clark (Barbara) of Great Falls, MT, a sister-in-law; Karen Hawes of Duanesburg and her 3 grandchildren; Anna, Marry and William Clark. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning May 19th at 11 am at Lynnwood Reformed Church, 3714 Carman Road, Schenectady, NY 12303. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visitation will be held at the church from 10 to 11 am prior to the services.
