Salvatore "Sam" Miceli Jr

Salvatore Sam Miceli Jr, 67, of Delanson passed away Monday June 30, 2014 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Jean (Buccellato) Miceli Sr. He graduated with a degree in Bio-Chemistry from SUNY Cobleskill and was self employed as a Contractor. Sam was a loyal father and family member. Sam had a love of life that was contagious. He loved adventure. He spent his summers at Sacandaga Lake with family and friends.He enjoyed snowmobiling and hunting in his younger years and was an avid collector of model trains. Close friends and family will always remember him fondly. He was a member of the Schenectady Masonic Lodge 1174, the Valley of Schenectady Scottish Rite, the Schenectady Shriner's Club and the Rotterdam Elks. Sam is predeceased by his wife Sharon (Rubin) Miceli and brother Felix Miceli. He is survived by his daughter Sara Miceli Benson and her husband Daniel Benson,of Virginia Beach, VA, son Salvatore Sam Miceli III of Schenectady, NY, brother Vincent Miceli and sister-n-law Charleen Miceli of Trinity, FL, sister in law Cecelia Miceli of Chester, NH, his grandchild-Tahoe as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Thursday evening July 3rd at 6PM at the Bond Funeral Home (1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY). Calling Hours will be held from 4-6PM prior to the service.
