Ruth Nehls

Ruth E. Nehls, 97, of Kings Road, formerly of Scotia died Monday October 8, 2007 at Kingsway Nursing Home in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late August and Louise (Selke) Buhrmaster. Ruth was a graduate of Spencer Business College. She was employed as an Insurance Clerk for the Schenectady Savings and Loan Association and prior to that she was employed for ALCO. Ruth was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Schenectady. She enjoyed her Bridge Clubs and loved doing Crossword Puzzles. Ruth was fond of her grandchildren and great grandchild. She is predeceased by her husband Robert Nehls whom she married October 2, 1934. Ruth is survived by her daughter Sharon Pirro ( Norman)of Rotterdam, one sister Louise Requardt of Schenectady, also survived by 2 Grandchildren-Joanna Pirro and her fiance Richard Fazio and Chad Pirro, one Great Grandchild Briana Dixon, also survived by several cousins. Funeral Services will be Friday 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be 10-11AM prior to the service. Internment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam.
