Ruth M Kelly

Ruth M. Kelly 90, went to be with the good Lord on Monday January 24, 2022, at her daughters home surrounded by her family.

Born in Bradysbend, PA. she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Edna (Robbins) Van Dyke.

A former waitress for more than 20 years for Friendly Ice Cream Corporation, Ruth retired in 1997. She was a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church, the churches Women of Wisdom, the Thursday morning Ladies Bible Study, a former leader in the lady’s circle, a volunteer with churches Sunday Bible Study Program and the flower committee. Ruth was also a former member of the Eastern Star.

Predeceased in 2011 by her beloved husband of 63 years Paul L. Kelly, Ruth was also predeceased by her son, Kent Kelly, sisters Betty Jean Weibel and Alline Thomas and her brother Brace Van Dyke.

Ruth is survived by her children, P. Brace Kelly (Linda) of Charlton, Regina Gallagher (James) of Williamsville, NY and Vanessa Farmer (Bruce) of Niskayuna, her sister Lois Cochrane of PA, her 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Ruth will be held on Friday evening January 28th from 5 to 8 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. (The family respectfully request that masks be worn while attending the visitation).
A memorial for Ruth will be held at 1st Presbyterian Church at a time and date to be announced.

A private interment will be at Park View Cemetery.
