Ruth M. Hockin 93 formerly of Albany Street died Tuesday morning May 9, 2006 at Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Born in Scranton, Pa., Ruth was the daughter of the late Emlyn and Susan Parker. A homemaker, Ruth was a former machine operator for 16 years at Empie Harness before retiring. She was a member of Annie Schaffer Senior citizens, Rotterdam Senior Citizens, the Frilly Dilly Home Bureau and Christ Church of the Hills. Ruth was predeceased by her husband Charles R. Hockin, her son Emlyn R. Hockin and brother George Parker. Survivor's include a son Charles L. Hockin (Patricia) of Port Smith, Va., a daughter-in-law Alice Hockin of Lake Bluff, IL., five grandchildren Ruth Clark of Flint, MI. ,Katrina Hockin ,Lake Bluff ,IL., Emlyn Hockin of Chicago, Kathleen Hockin of Charlottesville, Va. and Priscilla Hockin- Brown of Metuchen, NJ, 2 great grandchildren, Jacqueline and Jonathan, a step brother-in-law Joseph Dillman of NC and a niece Mary Jane Perkins of Albany. A memorial service will be held Saturday morning May 13, 2006 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park.
