Ruth L. Cozzolino 64 died Sunday night November 27, 2005 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Schenectady, Ruth was the daughter of the late William and Josephine (Mogridge) Sheldon. She is survived by her husband of 33 years Ralph M. Cozzolino, three children Alison A. Cozzolino and Christopher W. Lipinski both of Schenectady and Gerald L. Lipinski of Myrtle Beach, SC, a brother William Sheldon of Schenectady, a sister Patricia Burgess of Hannacroix, NY, two sister-in-laws Mary Elia and Ann Boyens both of Scotia, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ruth work for the regional office of OTB in Schenectady for 5 years and New York State Department of Transportation and Parks and Recreation for 5 years. She was a member of the Schenectady Historical Society and an avid collector of Schenectady Memorabilia. The family would like to thank the staff at NYOH at River Road, Rexford Radiation and Oncology Center for their personalized Care. A long term thank you to The Pallentive Care Program of Blue Shield of N.E. for their constant support, a special thanks to the Visiting Nurses Association and their aid care division, especially to Christine M. and Nurse Gloria S. ,I could not have carried on without them. Our deepest gratitude to Renee Burdick and Sylvana Pede for your constant support day in and day out, for Mary Elia for all of her days of sitting with Ruthie watching daily soaps and talking and for Ruthie Lynn Bahret, her forever namesake-She has been a blessing to our whole family. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning December 1, 2005 at 11am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady,NY.
