Russell Hammond

Russell Hammond,79, passed away on Monday evening December 5th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY Born and educated in Schenectady, Russell was the son of the late Russell and Hazel (Patten) Ludowici and attended Nott Terrace High School. A US Navy veteran, Russell worked for NYS Office of General Services for over 42 years before his retirement in 2003 as a Stationary Engineer. Russell was also a former Auxiliary Policeman in the Schenectady area. Russell is survived by his sister, Claudia Giffen (John) of Rochester ,a brother, Frank Fisher of Newburgh and nieces , Julie L. Demaison (Jeffrey) and Cynthia J. Giffen A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday morning December 10th at 10 am at Schenectady Memorial Park , Giffords Church Road in Rotterdam.
