Ronald A. Baron of Schenectady passed away unexpectedly at Ellis E.R on February 15th with his loving family by his side.
Son of the late Frank and Connie (Ippolliti) Baron, Ron is survived by the love of his life and he the love of her life, Kathleen Cromme Baron, his stepson Milton J. Cromme III., his granddaughter Peyton A. Baron, his brother Richard Baron (Janet), his sisters Marlene Whitehead (Johnnie), Janet Campolieto (Bob), aunt Lorraine Collins, his brother in laws Robert Simmons ( late Denise), Glenn Simmons, Brian Simmons, sister in laws Penny Simmons. Ron is also survived by his much-loved cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many close friends dear to his heart.
Ron is predeceased by his parents Frank and Connie (Ippolliti) Baron and his son Jeffrey W. Baron.
Ron worked for G.E system services for many years. Ron loved life, he spent many years at Schroon Lake with family and friends and skiing in the winter with his son. Ron’s greatest passion was his music, he was a member of the band The Rogues from the early 60’s. George Sykala, Rit Bradt, Russ Moskal, Tom Donahue, predeceased by one original Rogue, Joe Ordon. The Rogues play many venues in the area.
We would like to give our sincere thanks to Glendale Home, Rehab Department, Union Station, Ellis E.R and entire staff for their care, love and compassion for each and every one of us that devastating day. Dr. Armenia, Dr. Giovannone, Dr. Coppola, Dr. Gupta. And Penny Simmons, family nurse and caregiver. The family would also like to thank their neighbors for their love and support.
Funeral Services for Ron will begin on Monday at 9:15am at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady followed by a Mass at 10AM at the Church of St. Adalbert 550 Lansing Street Schenectady. Visitation will be from 4-7Pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Rotterdam.
