Rosemary Samborin

Rosemary Samborin, 78, of Rotterdam passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in West Albany, NY she was the daughter of the late James V. and Anna (Zanella) Faragon. She was employed for 26 years as a personal secretary at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Rosemary enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Lucky Strikers. She enjoyed casinos and was an avid NY Yankees fan. Rosemary loved having her family around all the time. She is predeceased by two sisters Teresa Santandrea and Rita Porter. Rosemary is survived by her loving husband Anthony F. Samborin whom she married September 9, 1957, four children -Anthony F. Samborin, Jr. (Carol Bouck) of Rotterdam, Michael Samborin (Cheryl) of Clifton Park, Cheryl Sullivan (Brian) of Duanesburg and David M. Samborin (Liz) of Rotterdam, also survived by six grandchildren- Maria Cook (John), Samantha Sullivan, Travis Samborin, TJ Samborin, Alyssa Samborin and Ashley Samborin as well as 2 great grandchildren, J.T. and Braedon, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Monday 1PM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Monday 11-1PM prior to the service. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Schenectady.
