Rosemarie Schmidt

Rosemarie Schmidt, 91, of Rotterdam passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Niskayuna, she was the daughter of the late John and Elsa (Rappold) Vine. She was a graduate of Mildred Ellie Business School and became a legal secretary. Rosemarie later became a home maker. She was a member of the Rotterdam United Methodist Church. Rosemarie enjoyed music and singing. She knew all her helpers as "Marigolds" and would like to thank them. She is predeceased by her husband William J. Schmidt Jr. and her son in law Peter Pawelczyk. Rosemarie is survived by her two daughters Dawn Marie Pawelczyk of Newington, CT and Rosemarie Schmidt (Carolyn Horn) of Florida, one son William J. Schmidt III (Lisa) of Guilderland. She is also survived by two granddaughters-Taryn Schmidt and Kyleigh Schmidt. Visitation for Rosemarie will be Tuesday May 29, 2018 from 12:30-1:30PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A graveside service will follow at 2PM at Schenectady Memorial Park Giffords Church Road Rotterdam. Contributions can be made in Rosemarie's memory to the charity of one's choice.
