Rose Pirro Armstrong

Rose Pirro Armstrong of Putnam Road passed away peacefully at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home on Monday September 19, 2005. She was born May 25, 1904 to the late Mary and Samuel Simone and lived in Schenectady all of her life. Rose was married to the late Anthony K. Pirro who died in 1961. Rose worked for the State of New York in Audit and Control for many years retiring in 1968 and it was where she met Alexander Armstrong whom she married in 1967, Alexander predeceased her in 1985. She was a member of the Rotterdam Democratic Club. Rose is survived by her son Kendall R. Pirro and his wife Margaret of Rotterdam, her grandson Kendall R. Pirro Jr. and his wife Janice of Andover, MA and three great grandchildren, Jennifer, Michelle and Jeffrey Pirro and her sister Margaret Kwiatkoske of Rotterdam. Rose was predeceased by six brothers, Dominic, John, George, Fredrick, Anthony and Joseph Simone and two sisters, Julia Pigeon and Pauline Pirro. Funeral services will be held at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave.,Schenectady on Thursday morning at 9 am. There will be no calling hours by request. Entombment will be in St Cyril's cemetery, Rotterdam. Contributions may be made to Kingsway Arms Nursing Home, 323 Kings Road, Schenectady, NY 12304.
